Seeptember 2011

United we stand

The seasons pass quickly. It’s hard to believe that this month marks the 10th anniversary of what has become known simply as 9/11, an event that forever changed us—in some ways, believe it or not, for the better. Instead of ripping us apart, it brought people together, giving “commUNITY” a more true and pure meaning.

Here in Fauquier County, we are proud of the individuals, service organizations, and businesses that continually strive to strengthen community ties, and we’d like to salute four of them: On the Run Sports, The UPS Store, Cold Stone Creamery, and Fauquier Hearing Services.

The Discovery Publications staff gives thanks for all who are part of our community—teachers, firefighters, police officers, farmers, business owners, and you, our loyal readers, and we hope you will join us in expressing your gratitude for all you deem important in life. And of course, we invite you to find out more about the best in our community by reading the next issue of Discover Fauquier’s Values. Look for it on September 30.
